A few years ago I registered another domain to do a tequila based website. Well, that fell to the wayside for a variety of reasons, but mostly because the name was "brand specific", and I was also spending more time with other agave based distillates, besides tequila. For me, agave spirits are a lot like wine - why only drink one style if you really like wine? And I enjoy all styles of traditional agave spirits!
I hope that this site will go a little more in depth and provide you (and me) as a good source of knowledge and entertainment. If there is anything that you noticed that needs to be corrected, or I have omitted, or maybe I don't know about, feel free to send me a message. Gracias y Salud!

Khrys Maxwell aka *45*
Since 2004, Khrys Maxwell has evolved into an "tequila specialist", and a student of all agave distillates. Among Khrys' accomplishments, he was a judge at the 2011 New Mexico International Intimate Tequila Tasting and has conducted seminars for the Spirits of Mexico in 2009 & 2010. In 2011, he was approached by TasteTequila.com to help them with their Tequila Match Maker app as a "Taste Tequila Expert". Khrys also offers private tastings and collection consultations for bar/restaurant owners and managers as well as private individuals. Since the beginning of 2010, he has also worked for Tequila Fortaleza.
Khrys has culled his knowledge from visits to over 30 distilleries during his many trips to Jalisco (with plans to visit traditional mezcal distilleries - known as palenques in Oaxaca). During these visits, Khrys has gotten to know the distillery owners, master distillers and distillery workers - and even spent some time working at Destileria La Fortaleza. He has also written articles for Chilled and Liquid Living magazines and is also a moderator of the Blue Agave Forum, where he has been a member since 2005. Very passionate about all things agave, Khrys Maxwell enjoys sharing his knowledge and hopes to be able to turn everyone onto good tequila, mezcal and other agave distillates!
